The Big Stone Gap Housing Authority provides affordable and safe housing opportunities to low and moderate income families, the elderly, veterans, and the disabled in Big Stone Gap, Virginia.
We have served more than 150 low-income families and individuals while supporting healthy communities.

Our Mission

The Mission of the Big Stone Gap Redevelopment & Housing Authority is to promote and maintain the quality of living by providing safe and sanitary housing for low to moderate income citizens. In accomplishment of this goal, it has implemented management of three LIHTC properties. This mission shall be accomplished with respect, competency, and compassion toward everyone.
